Olivia and Jack’s story began in the bright neon glow of Maverick’s Dancehall. Every Thursday, you could find Olivia and her best friends line dancing and two-stepping late into the night (and often into the early morning). One lucky Thursday in March 2023, Jack walked into Maverick’s with Olivia’s friends, and the two were introduced with a handshake… very typical of Jack.


Olivia was immediately drawn to Jack’s kind nature and good looks, and Jack to Olivia’s vibrant personality and bright red lipstick. Olivia gushed to her friends about Jack, to which one friend jokingly remarked, “He’s handsome! One of us should marry him!” Without hesitation, Olivia playfully replied, “I’ll do it!” And with that, she ran off and asked Jack to dance.


As they danced that night and got to know each other over the following days, they discovered a strong connection, sharing many interests and values. True to his straightforward nature, Jack wasted no time in asking Olivia out on a date that proved to be life-changing. Both Jack and Olivia separately admitted to their friends that it was the best date either had ever been on. That night, Jack knew he had found the girl he wanted to spend forever with.


While Olivia and Jack grew closer to each other in their relationship, they also grew in their faith. They found strength and comfort in their shared commitment to God, and encouraged each other in their walk with the Lord. Their love for each other was only made possible by Christ, and He remains the center of their relationship.


On a crisp February evening, on the north steps of the Texas State Capitol, Jack took Olivia’s hand, knelt before her, and asked her to be his wife. Overwhelmed with joy, Olivia easily accepted, knowing without a doubt that she was ready to spend the rest of her life with Jack.


Their love story is a testament to the power of faith, friendship, and love. Olivia and Jack eagerly anticipate their future together, knowing that their love will always be rooted in their unwavering faith, and love of a proper Honky Tonk.
